Non-Stop (2014) Movie Review (SPOILERS!!!) (duh)

Some days, we just want to be left alone. You know what I mean? Yo don’t want to go to work, you don’t want to do the dishes, you don’t want to talk to anybody. You Just want to sit back and watch Stranger Things Non-Stop (hint hint). Bill Marks is like that. He just want to be with his daughter, be left alone, and get rid of that cigarette urge he’s been having all day. Bill Marks isn’t that kind of laid back guy. You see, Bill is a Federal Air Marshal, or a FAM. He was a NYPD cop for 25 years before coming here and flying… A LOT. He doesn’t like flying, he does it to much. His primary job though, is to make sure that everybody on his plane stays safe, and that nobody gets hurt or gets others hurt. He is now scheduled to fly out from New York to London, but here’s the thing, he has to stay for an extra 3 days! WHAT?! NOW?!?! UG.

Now that he has to stay for an extra few days, he needs to act like it’s a good day. About 15 minutes into the flight, he gets a text message from a stranger saying that he caught him smoking in the plane’s bathroom (whoops!). After that, the text messenger tells Bill that he will kill somebody every 20 minutes unless he (or she) is given $150 in an account number. WHAT?! NOW?!?! UG. Well, all in a days work I guess. Bill Marks now has to figure out who the messenger is, and what their motives are. “Could it be that lady next to me? Is it the programmer? Is it that guy who every time I text the person, he texts as well? Wait… Why is he getting his briefcase and leaving to the restroom? Better go check it out.”

“This film is a classic whodunit scenario” said director Jaume Collet-Serra in an interview. And, yes, we do know who sends the messages (thanks to a YouTuber actually). I find almost nothing wrong with it aside from the fast that it puts Liam Neeson in the same role as always, a cop who goes around killing people for the greater good.
